Ohio River Bridges Project bashed
An ad-hoc Metro Council committee is holding hearings on an alternative to the Ohio River Bridges Project, a $4.1 billion plan to build two new spans over the Ohio River and reconfigure the Spaghetti Junction interchanges downtown. The bridges would go downtown and in eastern Jefferson County. The alternative plan, known as 8664 -- "86" is slang for "get rid of" and "64" refers to I-64 -- is being pushed by a group of local residents and would eliminate the highway through downtown and replace it with a surface-level parkway. It also envisions just one new bridge, in eastern Jefferson County. The 8664 plan would cost roughly half of the bridges project. While the Ohio River Bridges Project has federal approval, the state does not know how it will pay its $2.9 billion share.

ASM not perfect, but still working
I would be rich if I received a dollar every time I heard something along the lines of "The Associated Students of Madison are useless." My favorite has probably been "ASM accomplishes nothing and steals students' money." Wow. As the current legislative affairs chair of ASM, I am rendered speechless at these ignorant and often cruel comments. How and why are the students on this campus embittered and unwilling to trust their student government? Call me naà .

I did hear that they had open casting calls for that as well. It is speculated that this show will replace the ailing “Rap City."
