Relegation would be a disaster now season tickets would drop reduced revenue, we could end up like a lot of teams who drop down and really struggle.

It's a shame how we have fallen, the days of Big Bob and Asaba seem a long way away, but football is like that so our turn will come again, remember we are only a small team, so we must get behind them now in there hour of need.

CORNER CUBE FRIDAY 2/8: Looking at the significance of WWE leaving CW

After Funaki bled in the opening dark match, they changed the mat. After Matt Striker showed blood after Undertaker choked him out, they changed the mat. Before the Raw show in Austin, WWE officials brought medical staff ringside to go over any pertinent procedures. These are some of the specific performance variables that should be ensured by the promoters – WWE, TNA, all the way down - and verified by the Commission. But, the Commission is muddying the waters by trying to include WWE under its wide-reaching umbrella of rules more suited for MMA and boxing. Ensuring everyone's safety and health should be top concern. Updated Wednesday, February 6 9:15 a.m. Last night's ECW show was about an average episode. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with the show. It just didn't have as much kick as last week.

Sports Columnists

Actually, the answer is that person who joins Dooley as the two biggest sports legends in the history of the state.

Hank Aaron.

"It was kind of a special thrill meeting him, and I guess you can say, 'awe,' because we're both from Mobile," Dooley said. "I used to always say that we both were from the wrong side of the tracks, because we both grew up with very, very modest means. But we were on different sides of tracks because of segregation back then. To follow his career and then to finally sit down and have dinner with Hank was a thrill."

Dooley sighed, adding softly, "So, you know, if some people feel that way about me, I can understand how they feel."

Tax breaks? No, no, no! a thousand times, NO!

No, what we need is a goal, a revolution, and a plan to change how we live. Instead of pushing a junkie full of more junk, how about we take that money and make an impact elsewhere?

What if we spent $150,000,000,000 on this? Education, training, experimentation, and research on energy production and conservation. Instead of giving every tax payer $800, spending that money on energy programs, to increase efficiency, and create new sources would still stimulate the economy, but with a rational goal in mind.

How many Americans would get excited about that? How many would put their brains, energy, effort towards their, and their childrens' futures? I suspect all of us would.

An energy program for the 21st Century would be a winner. It would change our perception of our country, our future, our problems.

Eye-catching micro-car is fun, economical and, OK ... Smart

GARNER — Dave Zrostlik hears the snide comments when he drives his bite-sized new car."What is this thing?""I think my golf cart’s bigger than that.""Do you need a windup key to keep that thing going?"Zrostlik, president of Stellar Industries in Garner, thinks he has the last laugh. For one, he can easily squeeze the tiny, two-passenger Smart car between parked cars. For two, it’s designed to get 33 miles per gallon in the city and 41 mpg on the highway, according to 2008 Environmental Protection Agency standards."It’s definitely pretty easy on the fuel," Zrostlik said. "With the snow and ice we’ve had, it’s probably not ideal running conditions right now. It’s getting up in the mid-30s right now. I’m sure once the weather improves we’ll start seeing highs up in the 40s somewhere."You can drive the French-made Smart car up to 90 mph.
