| An Etiquette Lesson
We are inclined to argue that our skills, talents and reputation alone will secure us advancement opportunities. Academics especially opine that any impression they impart from behavior is inconsequential to what super star scholars they are, and it matters not how they hold their fork or eat their bread at a business dinner. But the truth is that academe is a profession in which one must behave professionally at all times. Being professional means demonstrating you are serious about your craft, and having good manners and proper business etiquette for all occasions promotes and amplifies your level of professionalism. When you practice flawless etiquette, your talents are bolstered, allowing attention to be paid to you, and not your slimy buttery fingers (which you keep wiping on your pants).

Street justice and uneasy ties
They knew what to expect with Prop Joe but Marlo is a wild card who may turn on them as well. Still, it's business. He gives Marlo a cellphone to use and warns him that he only wants to hear from him or his second in command. Marlo later brags to Chris about how great it feels to wear the crown. I may be wrong but is Chris sending out some weird vibes in this episode? Does he want to wear the crown himself? Also does anyone know the history between Chris and Marlo? For now, though, Chris has more pressing matters on his mind - waiting for Omar to make his move. He does but barely escapes a setup with Chris, Mike and Snoop. I'm not sure why Omar didn't see that one coming. Highlights: I loved the Clay Davis scene with Nerese Campbell, when he warns her that he doesn't fall alone.

Ultra-high performance models punctuate a quieter, greener Detroit ...
This may not go down as one of Detroit's most memorable auto shows but it did have its telling moments. On a macro scale, we saw General Motors' product resurgence continue with an array of new vehicles and concepts, both green and mean in character, notably the Cadillac Provoq, CTS coupe and blisteringly fast CTS-V and Corvette ZR-1. And for the second big show in a row (counting Los Angeles), GM seems to be out maneuvering Toyota in terms of perceived leadership with plug-in hybrid and alternative fuels technology. Detroit's other players, hard-pressed Ford and Chrysler, regrouped around brand new versions of their core products, the Ford F-150 and Dodge Ram pick-up trucks respectively. While such vehicles -- as presented -- do not score many points in the green column, Ford and Chrysler did their best to appeal to that constituency with an emphasis on turbocharged smaller engine technology (from Ford), as well as diesels and advanced hybrids in Chrysler's case.
